Zugegeben, ich habe es mir gekauft weil Caroline Kepnes (You-Reihe) mit dabei ist.

Ihre Geschichte The Attentionist ist eine Art Coming-of-age Story um die Schwestern Regina und Maeve. Letztere hat mit einem unheimlichen Stalker zu tun und verheimlicht dies vor ihrer Familie. 

'My stalker is not someone who finds me beautiful. And that’s another reason I don’t tell Mom and Dad and Reg. It’s bad enough to know that my thighs are poulkies. It’s bad enough that my “relationship” has made them all so fucking happy in strange ways.'

Punktuell gespickt ist es mit ihrem typischen Humor, den ich so mag:

'It’s a side note but it has to be said. The names of the roads in our neighborhood are ridiculous. Pond names. All possessive, as if at some point a hundred years ago, Sonny was out there with a stick screaming This is My Lane and Osef was a few feet down the way screaming back, This is My Path'.

Die Story ist dynamisch und entfaltet langsam aber unaufhaltsam seinen Horror, der eines schönes Sommertages  in das idyllische, ja, beinahe langweilige Leben der Teenager dringt.

Eine Anthologie mit 'psychologischem, urbanem und übernatürlichem Horror' von tollen AutorInnen.
